TMU Admissions Viewbook

Art direction / Publication design

Every year, Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) publishes an admissions viewbook that serves as a key recruitment piece for prospective students. Distributed at high school visits, campus tours, and other recruitment events, the viewbook raises awareness of TMU, communicates important academic information, and sets the tone for additional marketing materials.

The university was on a transformational journey on the heels of its name change, and that meant establishing a bold new look for the viewbook—one that champions TMU’s unique urban location and appeals to a high-school demographic.

The first half of the viewbook employs full-bleed imagery to immerse students in university life in the heart of Toronto. A centrefold serves as a pivot point to the second half of the viewbook, where the design is stretched to weave together essential program and application information. A flexible grid system is used throughout the publication to create continuity. The result is a blend of aesthetic appeal and functional clarity cover to cover.
