Ryerson University’s reputation campaign is strategically crafted to establish the institution as a leader in research and innovation initiatives that aim to solve real-world problems and shape a better future for our communities.
The university’s research strengths were divided into six themes—each representing a different pillar of research—while weaving them together into one cohesive narrative. This approach showcases both the unique contributions of each research area and their collective impact.
To bring TMU’s story to life, illustration was introduced to visually convey the anticipated impact and global reach of our innovation and research work, offering a dynamic perspective and feeling of wonder that photography alone could not.
The result was a campaign that combined custom video animations, narrated by high-profile alumnus Eric McCormack, with fresh, engaging illustrations.
